The Glen Ridge Home and School Association
Forest Home & School - September 2008 Calendar
Project Graduation Guidelines
There are four branches of the Home & School Association, each representing the
four schools in Glen Ridge: The Forest Avenue Home & School Association, the Linden
Avenue Home & School Association, The Ridgewood Avenue Upper Elementary School Home
& School Association and the High School Home & School Association. These Associations
are parent groups whose object it is:
a) To bring into closer relationship and communication, parents, teachers and
administrators of the public schools of Glen Ridge.
b) To aid in informing parents of the educational philosophy of the Board of Education
and to inform the board of education and the administration of concerns of parents
about the educational process in Glen Ridge Schools (Taken from the By-Laws of the Association).
c) Provide fund-raising to support enrichment materials and progress for the students
of Glen Ridge.
The Home & School Associations provide a vehicle of communication to the parents
through regularly scheduled meetings. These meetings are listed by month throughout
the calendar. Parents are ecouraged to attend Home & School Meetings to become better informed
of their child's school and its Administration.
Each Home & School Association is actively involved in promoting fund raising activities
throughout the school year in order to provide Glen Ridge students with a variety of
enriching materials and programs. Some of the annual fund-raisers include school calendar
sales, fall and spring plant sales, school pictures, book fairs, a holiday store & fair,
sweatshirt & T-shirt sales, as well as a High School Home & School "no frills" fund raiser.
