TITLE: CHILD CARE AIDE

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of High School diploma

2. Minimum of twenty-one years of age

3. Preferably teacher certification or substitute certification

4. CPR and Basic First Aide certification

Hours: 10 months, Part-time

Daily-Monday through Friday

Ridgewood Ave Site w/Pre-K only 10:45 am to 2:30 pm

Forest, Linden & Ridgewood Ave Sites 2:45 pm to 6:15 pm

Half days-12:00 pm – 6:15 pm

School shut downs-scheduled hours between 7:30 a.m.-6:15 p.m.

Hours not to exceed 7 ½

REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator and Site Coordinator

SUPERVISES: Children in Grades Pre-K through 7^th

PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist the Site Coordinator with the supervision of the children.

2. Assist in providing a warm, safe and nurturing environment for children to go before and/or after school.

3. Assist andf enforces program rules, regulations and board policy by supervising the children’s behavior during program hours.

4. Communicates with site coordinator and parents on children’s progress and behavior in the program.

5. Utilizes creativity to keep children’s interest through games, crafts and other various activities.

TERMS OF Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of

EMPLOYMENT: Education.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in

accordance with provisions of the board’s policy on

evaluation of noncertified staff.
